Häagen-Dazs Japan to launch limited-edition sweet potato ice cream
Häagen-Dazs Japan is launching a limited-edition mini cup ice cream called ‘Nou-mitsu Imo’ (Rich Honey Sweet Potato) on September 15, 2026. The product is designed to replicate the experience of eating a real roasted sweet potato by incorporating a thick, glossy honey-like sauce.
The dessert features a smooth ice cream base made with Beniharuka sweet potato puree. This is topped with a rich ‘imo-mitsu’ sauce composed of a blend of Beniharuka and Anno potato pastes. The product is intended to provide a dense, syrupy texture that mimics the natural juices found in high-sugar roasted sweet potatoes.
The mini cups will be available nationwide at supermarkets, convenience stores, and department stores for a suggested retail price of 373 yen (excluding tax).
