Hai Phong launches new pedestrian and culinary street
Hai Phong has officially inaugurated a new pedestrian and culinary street located at the city's central flower garden area. The event, which began on August 28, aims to stimulate the local night economy, tourism, and cultural development.
The pedestrian zone spans from Quang Trung Street to Tran Hung Dao Street, connecting with the City Opera House Square and the Flag Tower courtyard. The space features a continuous arrangement of culinary stalls, OCOP product experience areas, art stages, and street activity zones.
To promote local flavors, the “Hai Phong Delicious Dishes” program showcases regional specialties such as sandworms, crab spring rolls, crab noodle soup, and steamed rice rolls. These culinary presentations are designed to transform dining into a cultural experience by sharing the history and ingredients behind each dish. The pedestrian street is scheduled to operate every Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 24:00, with the current phase planned to run through October 24, 2026.
