Hai Phong pedestrian and night economy initiative

Overview

Hai Phong has inaugurated a new pedestrian and culinary street in its city center to stimulate the night economy and cultural tourism. The zone, located around the City Opera House and the Central Flower Garden, connects Quang Trung and Tran Hung Dao streets.

The initiative features approximately 25 to 30 stalls offering local cuisine, specialty products, and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) goods. To promote regional flavors, the “Hai Phong Delicious Dishes” program showcases specialties such as sandworms, crab spring rolls, crab noodle soup, and steamed rice rolls.

Scheduled to operate every Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 24:00, the program integrates dining with street art, music, and community activities. The current phase of the program is planned to run through October 24, 2026.
