Hoàng Trọng Nguyên prosecuted for dental clinic fraud in Lạng Sơn

Police in Lạng Sơn province investigated the Anh Đức dental clinic in Bắc Sơn that was operated by Hoàng Trọng Nguyên (born 1988, resident of Thái Nguyên). Although the clinic had no licensed dentists, Nguyên impersonated a doctor, advertised false credentials on Facebook and treated at least three patients, claiming "20 years of experience" and "full‑time doctors". The investigation interviewed 18 victims and identified about VND 400 million in illicit earnings, with total fraud estimated in the billions. On 26 July, the provincial economic police charged Nguyên under article 198 of the Criminal Code for fraud and ordered his prosecution. The case remains under further investigation.
