Haiti coalition registers with electoral council as parties call for transparent 2026 vote

The Ayiti Transfòme political coalition announced on 17 July 2026 that it had formally submitted its registration to Haiti's Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), stressing its intent to participate in forthcoming elections and to help rebuild state institutions through transparent, inclusive and credible processes.

Two days later, the Chemin Délivrance movement issued a statement urging the CEP to enhance transparency and publish a detailed electoral calendar before the 2026 polls. The party warned that delays and opaque procedures could further erode public confidence, and it called for a rigorous, responsible electoral process alongside broader national priorities such as security, road reconstruction, airport operations and public infrastructure.

Both groups framed their actions as efforts to strengthen democratic governance and restore stability in a country grappling with political, economic and security crises.
