Haiti develops national stabilization and relaunch program for 2026-2030

The Haitian Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) has initiated the validation of the National Program for Economic, Social, and Territorial Stabilization and Relaunch (PNSREST) for the 2026-2030 period.

Presided over by Minister Sandra Paulemon, a strategic workshop brought together various government officials, including ministers of Finance, Commerce, Agriculture, and Social Affairs. The program also involves technical support and participation from the United Nations, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank.

The PNSREST aims to restore public institutional presence in crisis-affected territories, improve access to essential services, and foster economic opportunities. The framework is built upon eight strategic pillars: governance and security, economic recovery, basic social services, essential infrastructure, environmental and risk management, community security and sustainable return, gender and inclusion, and strategic coordination.
