Halaçlı Mehmet Ağa Mansion hosts cultural events in Ankara

The Halaçlı Mehmet Ağa Mansion in Ankara is being utilized as a vibrant cultural hub following restoration efforts by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. In collaboration with the Tohumluk Foundation, the site has hosted various community events, including art workshops featuring painter Hikmet Çetinkaya.

Ayça Yusufoğlu Köroğlu, Head of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Culture, Art and Social Affairs Department, stated that the municipality's heritage teams restore significant registered buildings to provide them with functional purposes, ensuring these cultural assets remain active rather than decaying. Pınar Ayhan, Chairperson of the Tohumluk Foundation, noted that the mansion has become a cultural space that brings urban residents together with those living in rural areas.
