Halkidiki jet ski accident leads to arrest of rental manager

A 36-year-old Serbian tourist sustained head injuries and lost consciousness after falling into the sea while operating a jet ski in the Glárokavou area of the Kassandra municipality, Halkidiki.

Following the accident, the woman received first aid from her husband and the rental business manager before being transported to the Kassandra Health Center, the Halkidiki General Hospital, and finally to the Papanikolaou General Hospital in Thessaloniki for further examination.

The 53-year-old manager of the water sports rental business was arrested by the New Nea Mousdana Coast Guard Unit. He faces charges of reporting and bodily harm through negligence, as he rented the jet ski to a person who did not possess the legally required license for operating a high-speed craft.
