Halloween festivities and safety preparations

As Halloween approaches, various seasonal activities and safety precautions are being highlighted. In Bavaria, several attractions are hosting themed events, including Legoland Deutschland in Günzburg, Bayern-Park in Reisbach, Bavaria Filmstadt in Grünwald, and Pullman City, offering activities ranging from family-friendly programs to horror mazes.

Medical professionals are issuing warnings regarding Halloween safety. Dr. Justine Fenner from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai advises parents that makeup and costumes can cause skin reactions such as contact dermatitis or hives due to preservatives, dyes, or fragrances. It is recommended to test products on a small area of skin a week before use.

For those decorating with pumpkins, experts suggest methods to prevent mold and decay. Recommended techniques include thoroughly cleaning and drying the pumpkin, removing all internal pulp, soaking the carved pumpkin in cold water, or using a mixture of lemon juice and water to extend its freshness.
