Halloween: The Game launches on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC
Halloween: The Game has officially launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developed and published by IllFonic, with co-publication by Gun Interactive, the asymmetric horror title features both a single-player story mode and 1v4 multiplayer matches.
The single-player campaign includes six chapters narrated by Dr. Sam Loomis, set in Haddonfield during the 1978 Halloween night. In multiplayer mode, one player controls Michael Myers while four others attempt to survive as civilians by alerting residents or calling the police. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game features dynamic maps and interactive NPCs.
A launch day update has been released to address gameplay balance and technical issues. Key improvements include enhanced NPC navigation to prevent characters from getting stuck on environmental objects, better detection ranges for fleeing civilians, and fixes for cross-play functionality. As a reward for early players, IllFonic is offering 5,000 free Perk points to those who log in before September 8, 2026.
