Halloween video game blocked from PS5 release in Japan

The video game 'Halloween' will not be released on PlayStation 5 in Japan. Developer IllFonic confirmed that the country's age rating organization, CERO, blocked the console version due to extreme violence and nudity in the plot.

IllFonic stated they declined to censor or alter the game's content to meet rating requirements, as doing so would compromise the original film's vision and the intended player experience. While the PS5 version is blocked, the game will still be available in the Japanese market on PC and Xbox Series consoles, as those platforms utilize different rating systems.
