Hamas urges UN and world to end Gaza genocide and lift blockade

Hamas issued a written appeal to the United Nations and the international community, urging them to fulfil their legal and moral duties by halting what it describes as a genocide in the Gaza Strip, ending the siege, and ensuring accountability for Israeli leaders.

The organization condemned Israel's policies of starvation, blockade and systematic attacks on civilians and infrastructure as violations of international law, and called for concrete steps to end the occupation, recognise Palestinian national rights and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
