Hamburg police search for cyclist after two sexual assaults

Police in Hamburg are searching for a man following two separate incidents of sexual harassment involving female joggers on Tuesday evening. The attacks occurred in the Marienthal and Wandsbek districts approximately ten minutes apart.

The first incident took place around 7:45 PM near Jüthornstraße in Marienthal, where an 18-year-old woman was touched inappropriately by a man on a bicycle. The suspect fled after the victim verbally confronted him. Shortly after, around 7:55 PM, a 29-year-old woman reported a similar assault while jogging in Eichtalpark in Wandsbek.

Witnesses have provided consistent descriptions of the suspect: he was wearing a dark teddy-fleece top and dark trousers. He was riding a black bicycle with notably wide tires. Authorities are investigating whether the two incidents are linked and are asking anyone with information to contact the Hamburg police.
