Hamburg Police seek witnesses after sexual assault in Wandsbek

Police in Hamburg-Wandsbek are seeking witnesses following a sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

According to the LKA 42 specialized unit for sexual offenses, an unknown man gained unauthorized entry into a woman's apartment. The perpetrator, who was reportedly masked, harassed the victim and performed sexual acts before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Initial search efforts by patrol cars did not lead to a suspect. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Hamburg Police via their tip-off hotline or at a local police station.
