Hamburg robbery of 69-year-old man triggers suspect appeal

On 21 July 2026, between 14:30 and 15:30, a 69-year-old resident of the Schimmelmannstraße in Hamburg‑Marienthal was robbed. Two suspects, posing as a package delivery pair, entered his apartment, threatened him with a firearm and demanded cash before fleeing.

Police described the male suspect as about 35 years old, 175‑180 cm tall, slim, with an “Eastern‑European” appearance, brown short hair, dark jeans and jacket. The female suspect was estimated around 25 years old, about 160 cm tall, slim, with a “Southern‑European” appearance, light‑brown shoulder‑length hair, grey trousers, a light blouse, glasses and a backpack. The Hamburg police are asking anyone with information or who observed the perpetrators to contact the police hotline.
