Hankook secures Belgian Rally Championship contract and adjusts WRC tire limits

Hankook has been named the exclusive tire supplier for the RC2, RC3, and RC4 classes of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship for the 2027, 2028, and 2029 seasons. This partnership aims to provide competitive solutions for competitors and allow WRC drivers to use Belgian events as test rallies.

In separate developments regarding the World Rally Championship, the FIA has increased the tire allocation for Rally Chile. Rally1 drivers will be permitted up to 36 tires instead of the standard 28. This decision follows technical challenges encountered during Rally del Paraguay, where extreme heat and rough terrain led to punctures and delaminations. The increased allocation is a short-term measure to mitigate tire wear risks while the FIA and Hankook work on long-term improvements.
