Hanoi accelerates 187 social housing projects

Hanoi authorities are pushing to expedite 187 social housing projects, with a goal to complete site clearance by December. During a recent meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Bui Duy Cuong instructed departments and investors to resolve obstacles and accelerate implementation to support the city's socio-economic growth targets.

Of the 187 projects, 57 have been allocated land covering 203.65 hectares. Additionally, 37 projects spanning over 34 hectares have completed site clearance and are finalizing planning and land allocation procedures. For the remaining 93 projects, investment policies have been decided, and site clearance efforts are ongoing.

To improve oversight, the Department of Construction has been tasked with developing a database and management software to track each project from the proposal stage through to completion. This system aims to monitor progress and identify bottlenecks early. Furthermore, the city is implementing Resolution No. 45/2026/NQ-HĐND to streamline investment procedures and reduce administrative delays for key infrastructure and urban development projects.
