Hanoi Accelerates Completion of National Land Database by August

The Hanoi municipal government and land registration office are executing a 45‑day high‑intensity campaign to finish the national land‑parcel database for the capital. By 19 July the city had recorded 1,006,485 of an estimated 4.19 million parcels, aiming to complete all records by 30 August, ahead of the statutory deadline of 30 July for some districts and 30 August 2026 for the national system. Officials in Hoài Đức commune reported collecting information on 15,804 of 17,819 non‑agricultural parcels, with 480 parcels already issued land‑use certificates and 1,535 still pending. Spatial‑data cleaning is 52.6 % finished for the collected parcels, while agricultural land data remain largely incomplete. The campaign involves 29 task teams, digital tools from the land‑registration office, and round‑the‑clock work, including on‑site visits to households to verify ownership and update the “red book” records. The effort is described as a top political priority to ensure the database is “accurate, complete, clean, and living” and to support Hanoi’s broader digital‑government transformation.
