Hanoi accelerates construction of major ring road network

Hanoi is accelerating the construction of its ring road network to improve urban connectivity and reduce congestion. A primary focus is the Ring Road 2.5, a nearly 20 km route situated between Ring Roads 2 and 3. Several segments of Ring Road 2.5 are already operational, including sections from the Diplomatic Urban Area to the Cau Giay intersection and the Duong Dinh Nghe - Vu Pham Ham stretch. Authorities aim to achieve technical traffic opening for the entire Ring Road 2.5 route by October 10 to coincide with the Capital Liberation Day celebrations.

Progress is also being reported across other major projects. Ring Road 1's Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section has reached technical traffic opening, while work continues on auxiliary structures. Ring Road 3 is seeing significant land clearance in the Dong Anh area, reaching over 97%. For the inter-regional Ring Road 4, which connects Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh, land recovery in the capital has been completed for 800.15 hectares. The parallel road component of Ring Road 4 is targeting completion in 2026, with full operation expected by 2027.
