Hanoi accelerates Ring Road 2.5 construction for October deadline

Construction on the Hanoi Ring Road 2.5 project has entered a final, intensive phase. The project spans 19.41km with cross-sections ranging from 40m to 50m, connecting various districts including Linh Nam, Kim Dong, Dinh Cong, Nguyen Trai, Yen Hoa, Xuan Dinh, and Phu Thuong.

Following previous delays in site clearance, all land was handed over by May 2026. Contractors are currently working in three shifts and four teams to meet the technical opening goal scheduled for the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital on October 10, 2026. Work is being prioritized across seven key sections, with some areas reaching approximately 70% completion. Current efforts include finishing drainage systems, paving sidewalks, and planting greenery.
