Hanoi announces traffic changes for Thang Long Bridge and Soc Son

The Hanoi Department of Construction has announced several traffic adjustments to accommodate infrastructure projects in the capital.

To facilitate the construction of a vehicle weight control station on the north side of Thang Long Bridge, traffic regulations will be modified from October 9 to November 10. During this period, trucks weighing 2 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 or more seats will be restricted from crossing the bridge daily between 5:00 and 22:00. Notably, bus services will also be prohibited from the bridge during peak hours, with routes redirected via Nhat Tan Bridge.

Additionally, traffic on Road 131 in the Soc Son district will be adjusted for drainage system repairs. Construction will follow a rolling method, using mobile barriers to narrow the drivable road width to 5.5 meters. These works are scheduled to take place nightly from 22:00 until November 20. Authorities have been instructed to install adequate signage, lighting, and personnel to ensure safety and guide motorists through the construction zones.
