Hanoi approves new interprovincial electric bus route to Hung Yen

The Hanoi People's Committee has approved the launch of a new interprovincial electric bus route connecting Gia Lam Bus Station in Hanoi to the Hung Yen Bus Station. This initiative aims to improve public transport quality, enhance regional connectivity, and encourage the use of green, modern transportation methods.

As part of the plan, the city has agreed to a proposal from the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) to transition the route's operating model from a non-subsidized to a subsidized service. The Department of Construction will lead the coordination with the Department of Finance and relevant authorities in Hung Yen Province to finalize the operational plan.

Authorities are tasked with calculating technical-economic norms, unit prices, and cost estimates while ensuring the project's socio-economic feasibility and budget balance. The plan must also undergo a review to prevent route overlap with existing services or those being studied by Hung Yen Province to avoid waste and inefficiency.
