Hanoi authorities investigate child abuse at Hoa Tra My II Kindergarten

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has ordered an investigation into allegations of child abuse at Hoa Tra My II Kindergarten in Yen Hoa Ward. The investigation follows reports from parents regarding a student born in 2021 who exhibited unusual behavior in February 2026.

School officials and local authorities confirmed that camera footage revealed improper conduct by a probationary teacher, identified as B. T. T. L., who used physical force such as pinching a student due to a lack of emotional control. Additionally, an assistant teacher was found to have failed to report the incident and exhibited improper physical handling of a student during nap time.

In response, the kindergarten has terminated the contract of the probationary teacher for serious violations of professional standards and child protection regulations. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has directed local authorities to strengthen supervision of preschools and ensure strict legal handling of any confirmed violations.
