Hanoi infrastructure projects accelerate with Ring Road 2.5 and Ring Road 1 updates

Infrastructure projects in Hanoi are progressing with varying results. The Ring Road 2.5 project in the Cau Giay district is accelerating, with technical traffic opening expected by October 10. Construction crews are currently focusing on road foundations, drainage systems, and paving. While heavy rains in August caused some delays, contractors are working to meet the deadline to alleviate local traffic pressure. Additionally, the renovation of Nguyen Khang Alley 381 has reached a milestone with 100% site clearance completed.

Meanwhile, one week after the technical opening of the 2.2 km Ring Road 1 section between Hoang Cau and Voi Phuc, traffic has stabilized across most of the route. However, congestion persists during peak hours at intersections where overpass construction is still ongoing, specifically at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo and Nguyen Chi Thanh junctions. Authorities have implemented specific traffic organization plans, including one-way directions and adjusted turning lanes, to manage the flow while construction continues.
