Overview

As of 10 September 2026, traffic has stabilized across most of the newly opened 2.2-km Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section of Ring Road 1, though congestion persists during peak hours at intersections where overpass construction continues.

To facilitate overpass construction at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo - La Thanh intersection, the Hanoi Department of Construction will implement new traffic organization measures starting at 23:00 on 11 September. Under this plan, vehicles traveling from the center of the intersection will be prohibited from entering the old La Thanh street to reach Hao Nam or Hoang Cau. Instead, those traveling from Ring Road 1 toward Hao Nam and Hoang Cau must turn right onto Lang Ha street and use designated median openings.

Other adjustments include allowing vehicles from Giang Vo to proceed straight through the intersection to turn right onto Ring Road 1 toward Nguyen Chi Thanh, and permitting vehicles from Lang Ha to proceed straight toward Giang Vo. Authorities have requested the restoration of BRT signage on Lang Ha street and urged the Project Management Board to coordinate with police to ensure clear signage and resident notification regarding construction barriers.

Regarding land acquisition for the multi-purpose project between Ring Road 1 and La Thanh Street, Hanoi Vice Chairman Do Anh Tuan has directed local authorities to address 129 citizen petitions within 10 days. To ensure transparency, the O Cho Dua Ward People's Committee must publicly disclose specific details for each of the 164 affected households, including exact land areas acquired and the specific locations and structures of resettlement housing. Funds are confirmed available for compensation and resettlement, which includes land plots at GS1 Thuong Cat Ward and apartments at CT1 Xuan La, Nghia Do Ward.
