Hanoi pushes to finish land‑registry database by end of August

The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment is leading a 45‑day high‑intensity campaign to complete the national land‑registry database before 30 August. The effort, launched in mid‑July, has already recorded 1,006,485 parcels that meet the “accurate‑complete‑clean‑living” criteria. About 1.9 million additional parcels must be cleaned and enriched by 30 July, and a further 1.2 million parcels—including roughly 950,000 not yet surveyed—are slated for finalisation by the end of August.

Residents are required to present two key documents— their citizen identification card and the red book (land title) — when updating their parcels. For owners without a red book, additional paperwork such as purchase, inheritance or transfer records must be supplied, together with a land‑information collection form. Local ward authorities have organized dozens of task forces that visit households, scan IDs, verify ownership documents and geo‑locate each parcel for entry into the national system.
