Hanoi launches 4,700‑unit Him Lam Phuc Loi social housing project

On 10 July, Hanoi held a ground‑breaking ceremony for the Him Lam Phúc Lợi social‑housing complex. The development covers 13.5 ha in Phúc Lợi ward and will provide about 4,700 social‑housing apartments and 1,000 commercial units, aiming to accommodate roughly 12,500 residents. Completion is planned for 2030.

Deputy Mayor Dương Đức Tuấn said the project supports the city’s target of delivering at least 120,000 social‑housing units between 2026 and 2030, part of the national goal of building one million such homes. Hanoi currently has 116 approved social‑housing projects totaling around 101,300 apartments, with an estimated need of 300,000 units for 2026‑2030. Him Lam Phúc Lợi is the city’s largest social‑housing scheme to date, and the developer, Him Lam Joint‑Stock Company, pledges construction quality comparable to commercial housing.
