Hanoi plans 30 billion USD Red River landscape boulevard project

Hanoi is moving forward with a major landscape boulevard project along the Red River, with a preliminary total investment estimated at approximately 736,963 billion VND (roughly 30 billion USD). According to Resolution No. 18/NQ-HĐND, the project is expected to be implemented between 2026 and 2038, prioritizing infrastructure and residential urban areas.

Experts suggest the project represents a significant political determination to transform the Red River area into a long-term development space. While the concept of utilizing the Red River space has existed in previous planning generations, current efforts aim to realize it as a transformative urban and transport corridor.
