Vietnam traffic police intensify enforcement and safety education

Traffic police across various regions in Vietnam are intensifying enforcement and educational efforts to improve road safety.

In Hanoi, authorities are specifically targeting driving training centers to supervise practice vehicles, following reports of unsafe lane changes and slow driving. This includes inspections of equipment and increased accountability for instructors to prevent traffic congestion and accidents. Additionally, a driver in Hanoi was penalized for driving in the wrong lane after a public report.

In Gia Lai, a bus driver was fined 5 million VND and lost two license points for unsafe overtaking on An Khe Pass. Similarly, in Lao Cai, a bus driver faced a 5 million VND fine for unsafe lane changes on a highway, and police have been monitoring student traffic violations.

Educational initiatives are also underway, such as in Lam Dong, where police conducted safety awareness programs for approximately 2,800 students and 120 teachers to foster a culture of responsible traffic participation.
