Hanoi surveys market for five metro lines totaling over VND 1.3 trillion

The Hanoi Metro Management Board (MRB) held a market‑sounding program to collect inputs from domestic and overseas consulting firms for the preparation of five new metro lines (routes 1, 2, 8, 10 and 14). The lines will cover about 303.5 km and are planned for construction between 2026 and 2030, with an estimated investment exceeding VND 1.3 million billion.

The joint venture of Vinhomes (Vingroup) and VinSpeed has been appointed as the EPC main contractor for all five projects. The consortium has already ordered large‑scale tunnel‑boring machines, drilling rigs and other equipment, and is cooperating with international consultants from Europe, Japan, South Korea and China on detailed design, BIM/GIS integration and technical standards. The MRB seeks feedback on project organization, joint‑venture consulting models, interface management and cost‑optimisation measures before finalising the investment plan.
