Hanoi tax office sets July 31 deadline for household and business tax filings

The Hanoi Department of Taxation announced that all households, individual entrepreneurs and enterprises must complete their tax reporting obligations no later than 31 July 2026. Taxpayers with actual revenue of up to 1 billion VND for the period 1 January – 30 June 2026 must submit a revenue declaration using Form 01/TKN‑CNKD. Those whose annual revenue is 1 billion VND or less must also report any bank account or e‑wallet details on Form 01/BK‑STK.

For rental‑property operators filing directly, the first tax return is due by the same deadline if they choose a bi‑annual filing schedule. Households and individuals with quarterly filing obligations and revenue between 1 billion VND and 50 billion VND must file the Q2 2026 return using Form 01/CNKD. Companies filing quarterly must submit VAT returns (Form 01/GTGT or 04/GTGT) and personal‑income‑tax returns (Form 05/KK‑TNCN) for Q2 2026.

The tax office urges taxpayers to file electronically via the eTax Mobile app or the online tax service portal to avoid system overload and potential errors. Guidance has been issued to address confusion among many small businesses and households about when and how to file.
