Vietnam prepares for National Day with safety and infrastructure measures

Vietnam is implementing various measures to ensure stability and safety during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2. The Government has issued a directive for the Ministry of Public Security to strictly enforce traffic laws, emphasizing a policy of ‘no forbidden zones, no exceptions’ to address alcohol, drugs, and speeding.

To support travel, the Vietnam Road Administration is pushing for the completion of rest stops on the North-South expressway, while Hanoi continues to accelerate the Ring Road 4 project, aiming to complete major bridges before APEC 2027. Additionally, EVNCPC has prepared contingency plans to ensure a stable and continuous power supply for political and cultural activities during the holiday period.

In Hanoi, administrative reforms are also underway to streamline the urban management apparatus, focusing on increasing governance capacity and reducing bureaucratic layers to support sustainable development.
