Hanoi to host second World Culture Festival in October 2026
The second World Culture Festival in Hanoi is scheduled to take place from October 1 to 4, 2026, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Themed ‘Converging Heritage – Creating the Future’, the event commemorates the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s accession to UNESCO.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the festival has expanded in scale compared to its predecessor. Approximately 50 countries, international organizations, and businesses are expected to participate. The program includes 45 cultural spaces, 32 to 35 culinary stalls, film screenings involving 18 nations, and a fashion showcase featuring traditional attire from 19 countries. Additionally, nearly 20 international art troupes will perform throughout the event.
A new feature for this edition is the ‘Spreading Creativity from Heritage – International Games Festival’ area. This segment aims to connect historical and cultural values with technology and creative industries, featuring interactive digital games inspired by Vietnamese history, cosplay, and modern dance performances.
