Hanoi to offer free admission to historical sites on National Day
Hanoi authorities have announced that various historical sites, scenic spots, and cultural works under city management will offer free admission to visitors on September 2 to celebrate Vietnam's National Day.
Following a proposal from the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the policy to waive fees for sites that typically charge for entry. This initiative aims to provide citizens with opportunities to engage with the nation's history and culture during the holiday.
Among the featured locations is the Hoa Lo Prison Relic, which will open its doors free of charge to Vietnamese citizens on September 2. The site, a significant historical landmark in central Hanoi, has recently modernized its visitor experience through automated audio guides and specialized themed tours.
