Vietnamese universities set 2026 admission score thresholds

Universities across Vietnam have published the minimum admission scores (điểm sàn) for 2026 admissions. Hanoi Medical University set the highest thresholds at 24 points for medicine, dentistry and its Thanh Hóa branch, with traditional medicine at 21 points. Other health‑related schools in Ho Chi Minh City listed score floors of 23–17 points for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and allied programs. Law schools in Hanoi and the south, including Hanoi Law University, Ho Chi Minh City Law University and the University of Economics‑Law, established minimum scores ranging from 16 to 20 points, with most programs requiring at least 20 points. The Ministry of Public Security also announced entry score floors for its academies, generally 70 points on a 100-point scale, with medical tracks requiring 22 points plus additional assessment marks. Many institutions introduced new enrolment methods, such as using the University of Education Hanoi’s assessment test for certain health majors and converting V‑SAT or GPA scores to a common scale for law programmes. The announcements affect thousands of high‑school graduates preparing for university entry in the 2026‑2027 academic year.
