Hanoi University of Medicine investigates student TikTok misconduct
Two videos posted on TikTok by medical students in Hanoi showed inappropriate behavior, including threats to inject poison and retaliate against patients. The first video featured two medical‑student doctors from the University of Business and Technology, Hanoi, while the second showed a second‑year midwifery student from Hanoi University of Medicine threatening a patient.
The university confirmed that the student, identified as T.T.T.L., reported the incident herself and is currently on summer break, not on internship. Hanoi University of Medicine has opened a disciplinary review, coordinating its student affairs, communications office, youth union and medical faculty. A disciplinary council will decide on sanctions after deliberation. The director of Đức Giang Multispecialty Hospital said the hospital worked directly with the university, returned the student, and is tightening supervision of all student interns.
