Vietnam universities announce 2026 admission benchmark scores
Vietnam's higher education institutions have released their 2026 admission benchmark scores following the national high school graduation exams. Major universities across the country, including the National Economics University (NEU), the Academy of Journalism and Communication, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, have announced varying score ranges depending on the field of study.
At NEU, scores for highly competitive programs like Auditing reached up to 28.84. In contrast, the Academy of Journalism and Communication saw a decrease in scores for several journalism-related majors compared to the previous year. Language programs also remain highly sought after, with English and Chinese seeing significant competition at top universities like Hanoi University and the University of Languages and International Studies.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education and Training is managing the fallout from exam irregularities in Tuyen Quang, where 328 students must retake their exams. Their university applications have been temporarily frozen until new results are available. Meanwhile, several universities in Northern Vietnam have opened supplementary admission rounds for remaining quotas, with some accepting scores starting from 17 points.
