Hanoi’s Bạch Mai district assists 87‑year‑old woman with pension paperwork

The Bạch Mai ward of Hanoi confirmed that the family of 87‑year‑old Phạm Thị V. had applied for home‑based assistance through the local "Tổ xung kích" team, but the request had not yet been scheduled. Worried about missing the deadline for renewing her pension‑receiving authorization, the relatives asked a neighbour to help carry the elderly woman down two flights to the ward’s public service point, where staff notarised the document and returned the completed paperwork the same day.

The ward office said the case was verified and, after the authorization was renewed, the woman was removed from the list of residents awaiting home assistance. The office also noted that, out of 3,533 pensioners in Bạch Mai, more than 83 % had already completed the renewal process, while a small number remained pending or had died. The administration continues to operate multiple service points, publicize procedures online and via Zalo, and deploy the "Tổ xung kích" teams for home visits between 10 June and 30 June to support the elderly and other vulnerable citizens.
