Hanoi opens Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section of Ring Road 1
Hanoi has officially implemented a technical opening for the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section of Ring Road 1 as of September 2. The project, which spans over 2.2 km with a 50 m cross-section, has a total investment of approximately 7,800 billion VND. Due to high land clearance costs in dense urban areas, the project has been noted for its high cost per meter.
To accommodate the opening, the Hanoi Department of Construction has reorganized traffic at several key intersections. Notable changes include restrictions on certain left turns at the Hoang Cau - Hao Nam - La Thanh junction and reorganized movement at the Nguyen Chi Thanh and Voi Phuc intersections. In the area of the Nguyen Chi Thanh overpass construction, traffic is organized as a one-way system from Voi Phuc toward Nguyen Chi Thanh, while the old La Thanh road maintains two-way traffic.
Construction continues on the remaining components, including the overpasses at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo and Nguyen Chi Thanh intersections. Authorities have advised motorists to reduce speed and follow signage closely due to narrow temporary road sections.
