Composer Hans Zimmer has expressed his support for Canada amid an escalating trade war between Canada and the United States. Ahead of his upcoming North American tour, titled ‘The Next Level’, Zimmer shared his affection for Canadian culture, stating, “If this was a soccer match, I’d be rooting for Canada.”

Zimmer, who is scheduled to perform in several Canadian cities next year, noted that while political commentary can be difficult, he feels strongly about his stance. He previously drew attention for criticizing the U.S. administration during a concert in Sweden. Despite global political tensions, Zimmer emphasized that his music and his international band serve as a way to connect people across different backgrounds.
