Hanuman Ansh achieves massive box office success with ₹372 crore global gross
The devotional drama ‘Hanuman Ansh’, inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba, has emerged as a massive box office success, reaching a worldwide gross of approximately ₹372.2 crore. Produced on a modest budget of roughly ₹1.5 to ₹2 crore, the film has become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2026, surpassing major productions like ‘Toxic’ and ‘Peddha’.
Co-producer Anupriya Nagar, the world’s youngest producer at age 21, noted that the film faced initial skepticism from Bollywood industry figures due to its small scale and unknown cast. However, the film’s sustained theatrical run—now entering its seventh week—has led to apologies from industry professionals who previously declined to invest.
Director Vishal Chaturvedi continues to prioritize theatrical releases over digital platforms. While several OTT streaming services have made offers, producers Ragini Sona and Anupriya Nagar stated they are waiting for the right time to finalize a deal, emphasizing that the film’s true experience is best felt on the big screen. The film has also shown significant international strength, crossing $3.5 million in overseas collections within 12 days of its international release.
