Hapvida targets operational efficiency and data use amid recovery efforts

Hapvida is implementing new strategies focused on data utilization, operational efficiency, and customer experience to drive sustainable growth. CEO Luccas Adib has been leading these structural initiatives since April, emphasizing the use of regional data to refine management and decision-making processes.

The company is also prioritizing customer journey improvements through a dedicated department aimed at simplifying user interactions. Hapvida continues to leverage its integrated model, which combines health insurance plans with its own network of medical providers.

From a financial perspective, UBS has initiated coverage of Hapvida with a neutral recommendation and a price target of R$ 7.80 per share. Analysts note that while much of the company's difficulties may be reflected in its current stock price, concrete evidence of operational recovery is still required. A significant potential value source is a tax asset of approximately R$ 30.8 billion in goodwill resulting from the 2022 merger with NotreDame Intermédica. However, the company must generate sufficient profit to utilize this asset to reduce corporate income tax and social contributions.
