Hard Rock and Marriott Resorts Announce Major Renovations and Reopenings in Mexico and Jamaica
Hard Rock Hotels announced a comprehensive transformation of its two flagship beachfront properties in Mexico—Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta. Both resorts will suspend operations for several months, implement modernized infrastructure, redesigned rooms, new meeting spaces, and a chapel at Vallarta, and will reopen in late December. Reservations are now open for travelers seeking the revamped experience.
Marriott’s Royalton brand is reopening five all‑inclusive resorts in Jamaica. Three properties in Negril—Royalton Negril, Hideaway at Royalton Negril (adults‑only), and Grand Lido Negril (optional nudist)—will reopen on 25 August, while Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay and its adjacent Hideaway will resume operations on 15 September. All sites have been refurbished, with upgraded suites, new dining options, and expanded family and adult‑only amenities, and reservations are already being accepted.
Both hotel groups are targeting the upcoming tourist seasons with upgraded facilities and new guest experiences.
