Harish Rao alleges conspiracy to demolish Mallannasagar reservoir

Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao has accused the Revanth Reddy government of a conspiracy to demolish the Mallannasagar project. During an inspection near Thipparam village in Siddipet district, Rao claimed that unauthorized heavy blasting is occurring just 150 meters from the reservoir dam to facilitate Musi beautification water projects.

According to Rao, these explosions are being conducted at depths of 20 meters without necessary permissions from irrigation, police, or revenue departments. He noted that irrigation regulations prohibit blasting within 400 meters of the dam, yet these activities are reportedly happening significantly closer. The vibrations from the blasting have reportedly caused cracks in houses in Thipparam village and increased seepage in the reservoir dam.

Harish Rao demanded an immediate halt to the illegal blasting and called for the suspension of responsible officials. He further urged the registration of non-bailable cases against the agencies involved, questioning who is providing support for these midnight operations.
