Telangana political disputes involving Harish Rao

Overview

Harish Rao, a former Minister and BRS Deputy Leader, has leveled several accusations against the current Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Regarding land management, Rao accused the government of planning to sell 550 acres of government land in Miyapur, Hyderabad. He claimed the previous BRS administration had spent eight years in a legal battle in the Supreme Court to protect this land and criticized the Chief Minister for making statements he characterized as untruthful.

In a separate matter, Rao alleged a conspiracy to demolish the Mallannasagar project. During an inspection in the Siddipet district, he claimed that unauthorized heavy blasting is occurring approximately 150 meters from the reservoir dam to support Musi beautification water projects. Rao asserted that these activities are being conducted without necessary permissions from irrigation, police, or revenue departments, violating regulations that prohibit blasting within 400 meters of the dam. He further reported that vibrations from the blasting have caused cracks in local houses and increased seepage in the reservoir dam, leading him to demand an immediate halt to the operations and the suspension of responsible officials.
