Harman Korea brings Bang & Olufsen sound system to Genesis GV90
Harman Korea has announced that the Genesis GV90, the brand's first large flagship electric SUV, will feature the Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D Sound System. Developed through close collaboration between Genesis and Harman engineers, the system aims to transform the vehicle interior into a mobile concert hall.
The audio setup includes 25 speakers, featuring 3-way bi-amp front and rear door speakers, a 2-way center channel speaker on the dashboard, a subwoofer, and speakers integrated into the headliner and headrests. This configuration is designed to provide high resolution, spatial depth, and immersive sound.
Key technological features include ‘Curtain Motion ALT’, a specialized version of Bang & Olufsen’s Acoustic Lens Technology inspired by the Beolab 28, and ‘Beosonic’, a graphic user interface that allows passengers to select from four sound profiles: Bright, Active, Comfort, and Warm. Additionally, the ‘Virtual Venue Live’ technology uses algorithms to replicate the acoustic characteristics of famous venues, such as Wembley Stadium and Boston Symphony Hall, within the vehicle.
