Harmanpreet Kaur scores century to lead India to ODI series win

Harmanpreet Kaur scored her eighth ODI century to lead India to a 121-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second women’s ODI, securing a 2-0 series win. Despite playing with a mild fever, Kaur anchored the innings with 126 runs, including 15 boundaries, following an early loss of wickets.

Kaur, who recently stepped down from the Indian captaincy, stated her intention to focus on the joy of batting during this new phase of her career. She noted that while the leadership transition is a reality she is accepting, her primary goal is to take responsibility for the team through her performance at the crease.

In addition to Kaur’s batting, Vaishnavi Sharma claimed her maiden international four-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 4/39. India posted a total of 328/6 before the victory was secured.
