India and Zimbabwe women's cricket series

Overview

The six-match white-ball tour of India by Zimbabwe Women commenced in October 2026, serving as preparation for the 2027 Women's Champions Trophy.

India secured a 3-0 T20I series whitewash in Raipur. In the opening match, India overcame an early collapse at 19/4 through an 82-run partnership between Deepti Sharma (49) and debutant Niki Prasad (39*). The second T20I saw Zimbabwe restricted to 102/8, with Niki Prasad taking 2/7. India chased the target in 8.5 overs, led by Shafali Verma (55), who set a world record for the most 50-plus scores in a single calendar year in women's T20Is.

Following the T20Is, the tour moved to Vadodara for the ODI leg. India secured a 2-0 series win to take an unassailable lead. In the first ODI, India won by nine wickets behind Pratika Rawal’s unbeaten 100 and N Shree Charani’s 4/23.

In the second ODI, India clinched victory by 121 runs. After losing openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma early, Harmanpreet Kaur scored 126 off 121 balls, forming a 124-run stand with Pratika Rawal (61). Kaur was later supported by Deepti Sharma (106* off 86 balls) in a record 153-run fifth-wicket partnership. Sharma became the first Indian woman to score an ODI century while batting at number six or lower and ended a nine-year wait for her second ODI hundred. Kaur’s eighth ODI century moved her past Mithali Raj for the second-most ODI hundreds by an Indian woman. Despite playing with a “mild fever,” Kaur stated her goal was to “take responsibility for the team through her performance at the crease.” Vaishnavi Sharma led the bowling with 4/39, her maiden international four-wicket haul.
