Harry Kane targets Champions League title with FC Bayern Munich
FC Bayern Munich is preparing to launch its UEFA Champions League campaign with a home match against Norway's FK Bodø/Glimt. Striker Harry Kane has expressed a strong determination to win the tournament, stating, “It must be our year,” and noting that small details and luck often decide the outcome in the competition.
In addition to match preparations, discussions regarding Kane's future at the club are ongoing. While his current contract expires at the end of the 2026/2027 season, Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen indicated that contract negotiations are being handled carefully, with Kane's long-term career goals being a factor.
On the individual stage, several Bayern players have been recognized in the Ballon d'Or nominations. Harry Kane is among the 30 candidates for the top individual prize, alongside teammates Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, and Dayot Upamecano. Additionally, head coach Vincent Kompany is a candidate for Best Men's Coach, and rising talent Lennart Karl has been nominated for the Best Talent award. The club has also been nominated for the 'Club of the Year' award.
