Harry Kane wins second European Golden Shoe and nears Bayern extension

Harry Kane has secured his second European Golden Shoe after an exceptional 2025/26 season, during which he scored 36 goals in the Bundesliga. This achievement places him in an elite group of players, alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, to have won the award multiple times. The official award ceremony is scheduled for August 19 at the FC Bayern Museum.

In addition to his individual accolades, Kane's performance has been a cornerstone for Bayern Munich, contributing to titles in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. Across all competitions for both club and England, he recorded a total of 73 goals and eight assists in 65 matches.

Amidst these successes, Bayern Munich is actively working to secure Kane's long-term future. Despite interest from clubs like Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur, negotiations for a contract extension are underway. The club aims to extend his stay, potentially through 2029, to ensure his continued leadership and offensive presence. Bayern leadership has expressed strong desire to finalize these talks before the new season begins.
